From the port of Piraeus there are Ferry boats for Poros, which take in addition to passengers, cars and mopeds, with a journey duration of about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
With intermediate stations the Ferry boat first approaches the port of Aegina, then the port of Methana and finally reaches Poros.

If you have your own car or have rented one, then you can easily get from Athens to Galatas, an area located opposite Poros, in about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Following the Attiki Road and then the Athens - Corinth National Road, immediately after the Isthmus, go right at exit 10 (Corinth - Epidaurus) and immediately after that turn left, under the bridge, on the road it leads to Loutra tis Orea Eleni and continues to Epidaurus.
Drive for about 45 minutes and reach the junction for Epidaurus. A little before you will see signs to Poros or Spetses. At the intersection go right and immediately after turn left, under the bridge.
Continue on this road, meeting the "Vassilopoulos" supermarket on your right. A little further down from the supermarket, you meet other signs at another intersection, at which you turn diagonally left at the sign pointing "towards Poros" and follow the coastal road.
After about 25 minutes you will reach the settlement of Agios Apostolos, where you will come across a junction with signs, right for Poros and left for Methana. At this intersection you will follow the route to the right for Poros and after about 10 minutes you will reach Galatas.
The road you are following is an extension of the national road, quite good and for the total route from Athens to Galatas, at an average speed, you need about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
From Galata you cross with your car towards Poros with the small ferry boats. Small ferry departures are every 30 minutes, full and half hours.

A. By boats around the clock. Duration 5 minutes and departures every 15' minutes, from 06:00 to 24:00 and every 30' minutes from 24:00 to 06:00.
B. The departures of the small ferry boats from the quay of Galata are every 30 minutes, full and half hours.
